TACG Story 8(a)

TACG was founded in 2006 as a veteran owned small business in Dayton Ohio.  Our initial focus was on Air Force Materiel Command providing project and program management support and subject matter expertise.  TACG hired its first non-owner employee in October 2007. In 2009, TACG was awarded a subcontract supporting the Air Force’s Expeditionary Combat Support System providing critical functional and data related subject matter expertise.  This subcontract enabled TACG to grow steadily and pursue other contract opportunities.

In 2012, Alaska Native General Services purchased a majority interest in TACG fulfilling a key objective of expanding their Air Force business and adding to their strong portfolio of subsidiary companies.  Alaska Native General Services is the business entity through which the Native Village of Eyak, a Federally recognized tribe, does business with the Federal Government.  As a result of this acquisition, TACG was accepted into the Small Business Administration’s development program and was awarded Tribal 8(a) status in October 2013.

Leveraging our strong client delivery experience and our reputation as a trustworthy teaming partner, TACG has grown rapidly since receiving its first large prime contract in September 2014.   Since that award, we have been awarded six other contracts from a growing list of Federal agencies.

 

We have added the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the US Forest Service as clients.  TACG has grown from 20 employees to more than 100 employees. We have staff in 15 states.  Our capabilities have expanded to include information assurance, learning management system implementation, computer-based courseware development, financial and administrative management, document management, organizational change management, as well as strategic planning.

As we embark on our second decade, TACG is building on the successes of our past but we are also clearly setting a tone that we are a different, better company than we were. Our staff consistently delivers excellent professional services.  We operate with the utmost integrity.  We deliver on our promises.  We are committed to continuous improvement.  We want to be “that company” where current staff stays; where others want to come to work; and where our clients and teaming partners turn first to meet their business needs.
