Dayton, OH, December 9, 2019—TACG, LLC, a Federally Recognized Alaskan Tribal 8(a) Certified firm headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, has brought on Mr. Kevin Sampels and Mr. JonDavid DuVall as Director of Strategy and Client Relations to the TACG Business Development team. Mr. Sampels and Mr. DuVall will be responsible for developing and executing corporate strategy to grow the TACG Logistics and Sustainment portfolio in the Department of Defense and across the Federal Market. Prior to joining industry, Mr. Sampels served in the Air Force for over 35 years, specializing in the Logistics Readiness and Aircraft Maintenance fields. During his career, Mr. Sampels served in key leadership positions at the base, air logistics complex, major command, and headquarters air staff levels, as well as in the joint community. He deployed multiple times, including combat tours in support of Operation Desert Shield, Operation Deliberate Guard, and Operation Enduring Freedom. He was awarded the Bronze Star in 2008 for leading Air Force long-haul convoy mission throughout Iraq and Kuwait, and received the Defense Superior Service Medal upon his retirement from active duty in 2017.

Mr. Sampels twice served on the executive board of the Logistics Officer Association (LOA), a non-profit organization focused on professional development for military and civilian logistics professionals, and now serves on the LOA Board of Advisors. He also serves on the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Logistics Division Executive Board, as well as on the executive board for the Defense Logistics Association (DLA) Foundation.

Mr. Sampels holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Technical Management from Regis University, a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from Golden Gate University, a Master of Science degree in Military Operational Arts and Science from Air University, and Master of Science degree in Strategic Studies from Air University.

JonDavid DuVall, Director at TACG

Mr. DuVall served as an Air Force Logistics Readiness Officer and Cyberspace Officer in various assignments before retiring after 20 years of service in 2013. He served numerous combat tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the southern Philippines, supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom and was awarded the Bronze Star. In 2010, he was named a West Virginia University Institute of Technology Alumni of the year from the College of Engineering and Sciences.

In 2014, he joined Harris Corporation, now L3Harris Technologies, serving in positions of increased responsibility from subcontract manager, program manager and departed his current position as Manager of Business Development and Customer Outreach.

Since 2010, Mr. DuVall has served as the Chief Operating Officer, Logistics Officer Association, a 501c3 non-profit, that is focused on the professional development of military and civilian Logistics professionals.

Mr. DuVall holds a bachelors of science in General Sciences from West Virginia University Institute of Technology, College of Engineering and Sciences, master of arts in Management Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration from Webster University, St Louis, Missouri, and a master of arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island.
